If you’ve ever been to the Oregon coast, you probably know that even in the summer, the weather there is truly unpredictable. Clouds, rain, and fog can roll in on any summer day. When I showed up for the hike down to the ceremony spot, I knew it was going to be such a perfect wedding day. The sky was cloudless and brightest blue, flowers were blooming, and the temperature was perfect. This June summer day, nature really showed off for their Oregon Coast Micro-Wedding.
Because of the sunny cloudless sky, the ocean showed us it’s true colors. It was absolutely stunning to witness. S & E and their family were enchanted by the colors and waves breaking against the bottom of the cliff.
Their ceremony was short, sweet, and so beautiful. I loved seeing their family get to watch their ceremony and it was clear how special it was for all of them.
After family photos, we took some of my favorite portraits ever of them on the cliffside and among the beautiful trees. I had seen this forest path on the hike down to their ceremony spot and knew it would be perfect. Because we made we had extra time in the beginning of their day, I was able to take tons of special detail shots and scout this trail. These really helped capture their day in full and I was able to scout out this little trail for portraits later on.
After their ceremony and portraits, we headed to S’s parent’s house for their small reception. They had invited their closest friends to celebrate with them. S is also an incredible chef, and decided she wanted to cook for her guests. A few people even brought side dishes, and I literally can’t get over how cute a pot luck wedding reception is!
After everyone was full of delicious food, we went across the street and down to the beach to enjoy the sunset and crisp coastal air. Otter came with to get out his zoomies in the sand and spend some quality time with his mom & dad on their wedding day.
They ended their evening by hanging on the beach with their friends and then heading back to sit fireside with all their favorite people. It was the perfect end to a perfect Oregon Coast Micro-Wedding.
