Wowwwwww, this Willamette National Forest wedding anniversary shoot was one for the books! I still dream about this day. Leah and Ryan were such freaking troopers throughout this rainy session! We were all very rained on by the end of the session, but it was 100% worth it and very typical of the PNW area! This location, the couple, the views, the dress, the floral – all of it was drop dead gorgeous! Come see how truly amazing this day was for myself and them!
This day was supposed to be good weather, but you never really know with May in Oregon. It ended up completely pouring rain instead! I think everything happens for a reason and now looking back it’s exactly what was supposed to happen. The rain truly made it so magical. Leah and Ryan eloped at the courthouse in 2021 in a quick and intimate little ceremony which is why we did a 1 year wedding anniversary photoshoot. Best decision ever!! And I was so happy to be a part of this day!
Every part of this Willamette National Forest wedding anniversary session was perfect! Leah decided in 2021 to get a different dress for their courthouse nuptials. So, when it came time to do their elopement style wedding anniversary photos, she wanted to wear her original wedding gown she had purchased but never worn! Ryan had also never seen it before, so it was extra special to get to witness him see her in the original wedding dress she picked for the first time! They also wrote notes to read to each other as part of their anniversary celebration. So freaking sweet. The special moments are the best!
